crankopotamus aka if you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem!

I am so irritated right now. i swear that the number of dogs in my complex has more than doubled since i moved in, or even since i got violet. if not quintupled.

vi didn't eat during crate time again today. grr. just focking eat. it's really not that hard. she is so whiny and dramatic when i am around, that i need to just leave. in fact, today i walked around the complex and got the mail, did some walking exercises and then came home. food still there. drama queen resumed the show when i returned. she seems quiet enough when I'm gone. even in the other room is better. looks like i might have to start going to the gym, that wouldn't be the end of the world! anyhow, crate time was shortened because we had homework.

off to riverfront park! that cracks me up. i guess wash-front park just didn't have the same ring... anyhow i told you how Carey gave us homework to go there. we were supposed to hang out in the middle of the parking lot (which is safely a distance from anything that might cause us major drama) and observe violet. watch her register unfamiliar sounds and sights. saw people, cars, tried not the get run over. saw a boy on a skateboard. we saw and heard people playing tennis. playing ball, a maintenance guy on a Deere little off road truck-thingy who was emptying the trash. he also had very jingly keys. we saw some dogs (thankfully large ones) at a distance, and we even heard some coyotes running and yipping in the desert behind the park. violet did VERY well. i think, though i may be biased. she stayed pretty calm. she saw dogs but i didn't let her stare at them. i made her sit and walk with me and look at me. she had a good time, as you can see in the picture of her smiling at the camera. we also got a cute self portrait of the two of us!
I'm really irritated with the owners of little dogs and cats. firstly, all cats here are supposed to be indoor cats, so shame on their owners for letting them out. the owners signed a paper saying they'd keep them indoors. they are total coyote bait and they like to taunt us! grrr. just annoying. i wish people who had well-behaved dogs would be more aware of their actions. i know they don't need to be, because their dogs are good, but it would make my life so much easier. when you see me notice that you have a dog (especially a little rat shit of a dog that hides behind cars and doesn't leave me with much of an exit strategy) and i turn around to get away from you, PLEASE DO NOT FOLLOW ME! it's just so frustrating when you work really hard and make good progress and your dog is doing really well and some little dust mop comes and ruins it.
ah well, tomorrow is another day. if i'm feeling particularly enterprising, maybe we'll go to petsmart at abtou 830 when it's empty and walk around.
