...and some days you just decide to take a day off!

My little monster was in rare form today. I suppose that's misleading, as it's actually not all that rare for her. She was rather wound up. I suppose the short week was hard. She didn't have her daycare time, but man I cannot wait until she begins to calm down some.

Anyhow, from what I am told she was good all day today. Then I get to dad's to pick her up and she gets all wound up. This is to be expected, since she missed me and had no physical outlets all day, but holy hell. She acts like an out of control spring. Then I went to take her out because she was being obnoxious and even jumping up on the sliding door screen. I went over to put on her leash and she wouldn't sit but instead jumped up ONTO the screen (picture climbing/ running up a wall) and popped it out of the whole socket! Fortunately, I caught her pretty quickly (immediately), but the screen was bent and is not the same. Granted it was a crappy screen (flimsy), but still. One more thing I get to replace. Jeez dog! Then we go outside and she won't do her business ebcause she's 1. wound up and 2. OMG the lizards! She loves the lizards that live at dad's house and it is per personal mission to get them, even if she foregoes her chance to take a crap. Nevermind that she cannot possibly catch one because she is on a LEASH!

Next, we come back inside and she's still spazzy. She goes in the coat closet (it has no door, it's more like an alcove) and grabs a big ride-on bouncy ball that belongs to my niece (like a giant kettle bell, except hollow) and comes trotting out with the handle in her mouth. I was busting up laughing, because her particular gait/ prance when she has something that she's proud of is very cute and amusing. Then I guess she tried to grab the ball part (about 18 inch diameter) in her mouth and punctured it (I missed this part, possibly due to laughter, but my sister says that's what happened). So it proceeded to deflate, and was found upon inspection to have a half-inch split. Bummer.

So yeah, she's been a little destructo today. At least both were incidental. She didn't take a shoe and ruin it, etc. But she's also so wound up that I'm not even gonna go there! We went potty and are campin' out in the house! Quit while you're ahead (okay, while you're only moderately behind)!
